Proper American is one of the largest producers of BDU / ACU uniforms for the U.S. Army. MultiCam is a modern Camoflage, developed to melt in a large variety of environments, hence the name "Multi Camouflage". The pattern was developed in collaboration between the American company Crye Precision and U.S. Army Soldier Systems Center (Unit that develops and tests new equipment for the army in the American Armed Forces). MultiCam was included in the trials when the old Woodland pattern BDU and the system would be replaced after long and faithful service. However MultiCam was removed in favor of the pixel pattern of UCP (Universal Camouflage Pattern), which are now standard in the new uniform system ACU (Army Combat Uniform). MultiCam pattern is a very neat, modern and versatile design applied by different authorities around the world, among other things, U.S. Homeland Security. In 2010, MultiCam has been adopted as the new camouflaget for the U.S. Army in Afghanistan. Made by the same MIL-SPEC ACU's as usual.
